In this guide, we will help you install Tiny Chat, a live chat software that integrates with Slack to enhance your customer support and sales.
To install Tiny Chat, all you need to do is add an HTML <script> tag to the header of your website. It's the same installation process as with Google Analytics or Hotjar, for example. The <script> tag will be automatically generated during your onboarding, and you just need to copy and paste it onto your site yourself or send it to a colleague or your web provider.
If you only want to add Tiny Chat to specific pages, no problem! You can add the <script> tag only to the relevant pages.
You must sign up with Slack to access our dashboard. If you belong to multiple workspaces, choose the workspace you want to install Tiny Chat on. If you are a developer or an agency installing Tiny Chat for a client, ask your client to add you to their workspace. Or follow these steps if they cannot add you.
Right after creating an account on our platform, you will arrive at our onboarding.
All the steps are optional, and you can skip them to head directly to your dashboard if you are in a rush. All setup will also be available on your dashboard.
In the first step, add your company website or its domain. Tiny Chat will only display on this website, which prevents hackers and fraudulent users from adding the widget to their own websites.
Your team name and logo will appear on the widget, as they are client-facing, so choose them wisely!
The second step allows you to add a touch of personality! You can choose a theme for your chatbox, which you can further refine and customize to your liking once you have access to your dashboard.
The last step is to add the <script> tag to your website. But don't worry, you don't need to do it immediately. You can either do it yourself or pass the code to a colleague or website provider.
Once you have added the <script> tag to the header of your website, we will immediately receive a signal to validate that Tiny Chat is installed correctly.
If your website uses WordPress, we recommend this plugin.
Once the onboarding is complete, you will have access to your dashboard. Currently, Tiny Chat offers a free one-month trial, and you can start using your live chat right away!
Don't forget to add your credit card during the trial period if you want to continue using Tiny Chat after the trial ends. This will prevent any interruption when the trial period ends. You will be charged only at the end of the trial period, not immediately.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Tiny Chat and enhanced your website with the power of live chat and instant messaging. With Tiny Chat's seamless integration with Slack, you and your team can provide exceptional customer support and boost your sales.
